Nesta ótica, a valorização do património é, porventura, uma das mais relevantes missões de um Geopark, através de estratégias que permitem a prossecução de diferentes objetivos para o desenvolvimento sustentável.The Estrela Geopark, with 2,216 km2 , is a territory with remarkable geological heritage, with its main originality being the richness of evidences from the last glaciation, with high pedagogical and scenic values and with a remarkable scientific importance, especially considering its position in SW Europe. The geological and geomorphological values of the Estrela represent a living laboratory of knowledge and learning.
