Abstract(s)
plasma do tipo DBD.
induzido.
estudo do escoamento induzido diz respeito, ambos permitem a visualização do escoamento induzido,
funcionamento.
This dissertation has as main objebtives, the study, project and set up of two schlieren systems. The ultimate goal of this dissetation is that the developed systems are sensitive enough, so we can use them to study DBD plasma actuators. In order to better understand the ionic wind, wich is a phenomena associated with the plasma actuators, that consists on the formation of a āāblowāā, an air movimentation, which has the same direction of propagation as the plasma has of formation. During the present dissertation, the reader is guided through the process of creation of two schlieren systems, systems whose aftr is correct project and after his correct assembly, allowed us to preform a series of diferent experiments, some of wich we have the pleasure to share with the intereted reader. There are two main types of experimental test during this dissertation, one of them his main goal is to study and test the shlieren systms themselfs, ande the other one firstly aims to test the preformance of the system when trying to visualize the ionic wind, lastly to evaluate the DBD actuador ionic wind and better understand it. Dispite both project systems have diferent goals in the study of the DBD, they stll have something in common, and that something is that they both can produce visualizations, of the ionic wind, therefore we also compair the preformance of both systems and discuss the viability of both as a tool to study the plasma actuators. Also a lot of expeimental test are done, in order to test the components of the system. The dimensions we specify during this dissertations are of extreme imortance becouse, the reltive distance between componentes, is one of te beat way to increse sensitivity of the system. The tested DBD plasma actuators were previously mounted on a flat plate, and correctly placed in the test zone of the developed schlieren alignment, wich will allows to see what before ws invisible, the ionic wind cannot be seen by the human naked eye. The developed systems showed sensitive enough to produce good results about the induced flow of a DBD plasma actuator. The background oriented schlieren technique is here proposed, for te first time, in order to measure quantitatively, the temperature distributions field, caused by a functioning DBD plasma actuator.
