Este relatório encontra-se dividido em três capítulos. Cada capítulo corresponde à experiência profissionalizante adquirida nas diferentes componentes do estágio, nomeadamente na componente de Farmácia Comunitária, Farmácia Hospitalar e Investigação.
O primeiro capítulo do relatório relacionado com a vertente de Investigação pretende descrever o projeto desenvolvido na área da tecnologia farmacêutica e intitulado: “ Estudo da permeação cutânea do sulfato de glucosamina, em modelo ex vivo, induzida por iontoforese”. O principal objetivo, desta investigação, foi avaliar e estudar a permeação do sulfato de glucosamina, um precursor dos glucosaminoglicanos, em pele de origem suína. Para isso, foi utilizado o método da iontoforese com vista a comprovar a sua eficácia na libertação transdérmica do fármaco e avaliando o potencial desta via alternativa à administração da molécula. Deste modo, o fármaco foi primeiramente isolado a partir de ampolas comerciais de sulfato de glucosamina destinadas a administração intramuscular e marcado, posteriormente, com o fluorocromo FITC. Esta conjugação com FITC permitiu avaliar, através de microscopia confocal a laser, a permeação da molécula através da pele, após aplicação da iontoforese. Ainda, neste âmbito, foi analisada a influência de diferentes densidades de corrente iontoforética na permeação do fármaco, em pele suína.
O segundo capítulo do relatório tem como objetivo descrever as atividades desenvolvidas e a experiência adquirida ao longo do estágio em Farmácia Comunitária, evidenciando o funcionamento da mesma e o papel do farmacêutico nesta área. Este estágio decorreu na Farmácia Modelar, no Teixoso, concelho da Covilhã, no período de 5 de Março a 24 de Abril.
Por fim, o último capítulo do relatório pretende elucidar todas as competências técnico-científicas adquiridas, atividades desenvolvidas e metodologias observadas ao longo do estágio em Farmácia Hospitalar. O estágio profissional em Farmácia Hospitalar realizou-se nos Serviços Farmacêuticos do Hospital Pêro da Covilhã do Centro Hospitalar Cova da Beira, durante o período de 26 de Abril a 15 de Junho.
This report is divided into three chapters. Each chapter corresponds to the professional experience achieved in the areas of Community Pharmacy, Hospital Pharmacy and Research, respectively. The first chapter of the report, concerning the research experience, aims to describe the project developed in the area of pharmaceutical technology and entitled: "Study of the skin permeation of glucosamine sulfate, in ex vivo model, induced by iontophoresis". The main goal of this research was to evaluate and study the permeation of glucosamine sulfate, a precursor of glycosaminoglycans, in porcine skin, by iontophoresis. The method was studied in order to establish its effectiveness in transdermal delivery of the drug and, therefore, the interest of this route as an alternative to the administration of this molecule. Thus, the drug was first isolated from commercial ampoules of glucosamine sulfate for intramuscular administration and then labeled with FITC. This FITC conjugation allowed the evaluation, through confocal laser scanning microscopy, of the molecule permeation through skin after application of iontophoresis. The influence of different iontophoretic current densities in the permeation of the drug through porcine skin was also studied. The second chapter of the report aims to describe the activities and experience gained during the internship in Community Pharmacy, showing the operation thereof, and the role of the pharmacist in this area. This experience took place in the Farmácia Modelar, in Teixoso, Covilhã, from 5th March to 24th April. Finally, the last chapter of the report aims to describe all technical and scientific skills acquired, activities and methodologies that were observed during the internship in Hospital Pharmacy.
