Neste trabalho efectua-se uma avaliação da contribuição da tecnologia para o aumento da segurança aérea a nível mundial. A análise elucida a forma de como a tecnologia continua a desempenhar um papel preponderante na resolução dos problemas existentes na aviação, mas também nos novos desafios criados. Estes desafios ao longo do tempo vão sendo superados, tornando a tecnologia um dos factores fundamentais para a redução da taxa de acidentes aéreos nos dias de hoje.
In this work is carried out an assessment of the technology contribution in improving aviation safety worldwide. The analysis not only points out the way how technology continues to play a leading role in solving existing problems in aviation but also for the new challenges created by this evolution. Nowadays these challenges are being overcome, making the technology one of the basic factors for the air accidents rate reduction.
