Abstract(s)
The architecture and the cinema have a very close relationship. Besides having many features in common with each other, they share creation methods. The cinema has the power to make known or to report a story, but to develop their action, they need a real space. Besides, it lead into architecture and his importance in the scenarios development, the action achievement, methodologies and systems used in creative process as well as their accomplishment. Space is therefore, the element that connects both of them. This work aims to identify and analyse systems the cinematic space systems representations, how they are used and exploited, and what relationship they have with the architectural spatial context. Accordingly, it focuses on such films as analysis objects, particularly Carnage to the study case. The idea of cinematic space as a construction mechanism of space and architectural time, was the main focus, as well as their combination of plane's point of view and depth of the stage space with real space. It will be crucial the review of investigations carried out by architects of the relationship between the idea of space in film and architecture constituted an essential step, having sustained selecting a set of cinematic material considered of interest, which can allow us to prove the methodological relations architecture and cinema. The materialization of movement and bodies in scenic spaces of Carnage film, was operated through the use of drawings, diagrams and photographs. The analysis undertaken resulted in the finding of analogies and similarities between these arts, evident in the application of methodologies in architectural representation of filmic space. The observation of these relationships allowed realize the importance of the creative process is common to them and how can it benefit from such sharing.
