A relação próxima de interação entre a sociedade e a realidade global, desperta os sentidos das comunidades e os desejos da aquisição do novo, impulsionado pelo notório apego material através do transporte dos variados significados atribuídos aos objetos. O design de moda, na sua vertente comunicativa entre os indivíduos, faz-se sobressair pelas suas questões voltadas para as preocupações sociais entre as comunidades e, a necessidade em manter vivas as heranças culturais herdadas pelos nossos antepassados surge, agora mais do que nunca, como uma preocupação principal.
Com foco na preservação das heranças culturais, o presente projeto visa a preocupação de apoio ao sector, em decadência, do artesanato tradicional, mais concretamente, da cestaria de Gonçalo que tem assistido a uma queda com um forte impacto na vida da comunidade local da região. Surge assim o tema da cestaria como inspiração base à elaboração de uma coleção de acessórios de design de moda, propostos na tentativa de apelar à continuidade do sector.
Com o intuito de marcar a diferença, esta união criativa prima pela abordagem às técnicas manuais e à introdução de diferentes materiais e cores que compõem um painel atualizado e carregado da riqueza cultural que a conhecida técnica artesanal proporciona ao design de moda. Tenciona-se assim, não a criação de meros objetos, mas sim a criação de objetos que transportem memórias ou que nos transportem, a nós, às memórias passadas.
The close relationship of interaction between society and global reality awakens the senses of the communities and the desires of acquiring the new, driven by the notorious material attachment through the transport of the various meanings attributed to objects. Fashion design, in its communicative form among individuals, is highlighted by its questions focused on social concerns between communities and the need to keep alive the cultural heritages inherited by our ancestors that, now more than ever, arises as a major concern. With a focus on preserving cultural heritages, the present project aims at supporting the sector, in decline, in the traditional handicrafts, more concretely, in Gonçalo basketry that has witnessed a fall with a strong impact on the life of the local community of the region. The theme of basketry thus emerges as the inspiration for the production of a collection of fashion design accessories, proposed in an attempt to appeal to the continuity of the sector. In order to make a difference, this creative union excels at the approach to manual techniques and the introduction of different materials and colors that make up an updated and loaded panel of the cultural wealth that the well-known craft technique gives to the fashion design. It is thus intended not the creation of mere objects, but the creation of objects that convey memories or carry us past memories.
