Abstract(s)
Este projecto destina-se à projecção de um complexo de artes na resposta do concurso, HB:BX – Building Cultural Infrastructure. Compreendendo toda a orgânica do local, interligando duas comunidades no reabrir da ponte histórica, HighBridge, destina-se a projectar dois pólos culturais - um centro de artes e uma escola de artes. Pretende-se criar assim na ponte, uma ligação de essência, não só de transposição funcional como cultural. Neste sentido a proposta apresentada, localiza-se em Nova Iorque, conectando a cidade de Manhattan e Bronx. Neste sentido o trabalho apresentado, segue uma serie de processos técnicos e teóricos, entre os quais: análise do programa; estudo da área do local; estudos de projectos similares; elementos técnicos e relatório de actividade. Os edifícios projectados a nível cultural vêm principalmente no intuito de conectar essas duas comunidades distintas, figurando-se assim de extrema importância para o local, permitindo salvaguardar não só a identidade histórica, como potenciando um desenvolvimento social e cultural dessas comunidades.

Understanding the organic local, interconnecting two communities in reopen the bridge of the name is, HighBridge, aims at projecting two poles - a cultural arts center and a school of arts. Intended to create a bridge, so in essence, link not only functional as cultural transposition. In this sense the submitted proposal, located in New York, connecting the city of Manhattan and the Bronx. In this sense the work presented, follows a series of technical processes and theorists, among them: analysis of the programme; study of local area; studies of similar projects; technical elements and activity report. Buildings designed the cultural level come mainly in order to connect these two distinct communities, and therefore of extreme importance to the location, allowing safeguard not only the historical identity, as well as a social and cultural development of communities.
