Abstract(s)
View e Controller do padrão MVC implementado vão efetuar as respetivas solicitações
e respostas.
A aplicação
é necessário inserir o link do produto final.
This dissertation consisted in the development of a Web application for collecting information of sport events using data mining techniques: research, design and implementation of a cloud-based web solution for Mixed Creations, a sport design project developed by me in 2017 which promotes athletes, essentially football and futsal ones, adding value to them through their sport image, that they transmit to the public. Sport has a large amount of associated data, so the big challenge is to synthesize them as quickly as possible, so that can be used by users. When looking at other companies or brands that do the same job as Mixed Creations, we quickly came to the conclusion that the creation of a web application that allows the obtaining of sports-related data (players, teams and games) selectively and which makes possible to associate posters is something unique and does not exist in the market yet. Therefore, Mixed Creations is able to differentiate itself from its competitors by introducing a Web solution that implements an automatic and unsupervised model. The data mining follows the ETL model. Data extraction is done by retrieving data contained in the information source. Then, the data processing process is carried out, ending with the respective loading in the database. When the user requests for data, that will be received by the application which through the layers textit Model, textit View and textit Controller of the implemented MVC standard will make the respective requests and responses. At the end of the entire process, the user will be able to view the requested data through tables. With the creation of the application, it became possible to add, edit and remove various types of data such as teams, players, games and photographs of Mixed Creations customers to the database. The fact that the photos are made available through links allows access to the entire history of photos made for a particular player who participated in a particular game without occupying the database’s memory with the size of the images. The application was launched in the cloud on the page http://mixedcreations.herokuapp. com/ [1]. The final works are inserted in the application after being uploaded to the cloud and then it is only necessary to insert the link of the final product. The objectives were successfully achieved, creating an innovative tool that reduces the time spent (before I usually needed about 8 hours a week, while now it takes 2 minutes only) looking for information and creates all the conditions for the start of the 2020/21 sports season.
