Abstract(s)
A adoção
Since the earliest times, organizations have been making efforts to adapt and follow the changes and needs of society, developing new ways of responding to citizens, new ways of communicating and transmitting information, supported by information systems and structured technologies. These changes that have been growing over the last few years lead us to an information society in which both information and knowledge are acquired, play a preponderant role in all sectors and activities of society, for health institutions. The use and contextualization of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) are currently fundamental for the proper functioning of any organization or entity. The integrated information systems are presented in several models, among others based on the cloud, without having to worry about the physical infrastructures, sophisticated computer equipment, configuration of software for their operation and availability of the services. The adoption of information technology and systems with the objective of ensuring rapid information and support in decision making is increasingly relevant. The objective of this dissertation was to analyze the different medical information systems in several health institutions and the Dr. António Agostinho Neto Central Hospital, Lubango-Angola, comparing them with other existing systems and considering the best practices for the area. In this analysis, it was proposed the implementation of an information system (in the form of a website application) that allows to register patients and electronic appointments / appointments of medical consultations, through the site using email, to avoid large flow of patients looking for different services at the same time, as well as reducing the distances to be traveled and wasted time.
