Este trabalho tem como base de investigação a narrativa nos videojogos atuais. Possui ou não
a narrativa, de facto, um papel fundamental no desenvolvimento de videojogos? Qual o seu
contributo para a imersão do jogador? Para a obtenção de respostas, foi utilizado o jogo Heavy
Rain por ser considerado um dos pioneiros, na indústria, em apresentar a narrativa como
principal elemento imersivo. Em suma, pretender perceber se na narrativa pode imergir um
jogador numa realidade paralela que ele pode controlar de algum modo.
This work is based on investigation of the narrative in the current videogames. Does narrative, in fact, play a key role in the development of video games? What is the contribution to the immersion of the player? To get some answers, the game Heavy Rain will be analysed, as one of the pioneers in the industry, to present the narrative as the main immersive element. In short, we intend to realize if the narrative can imerge a player in a parallel reality that he can control somehow.
