Abstract(s)
Nesta
construtivos.
In the context of a dynamic society, gradually marked by technological progress and the cult of information, the present dissertation aims at the synthesis between traditional construction methods, cutting edge technologies and the sustainability of materials in an architectural context of modularization, standardization and pre-manufacturing. The research aims to define a reference scenario for innovation in civil construction that aims to reduce and promote better knowledge and understanding about modularization and prefabrication in the construction field. Contributing in this way to the construction of good architectural practices and seeking to answer certain pathological questions typical of buildings, such as their durability, functionality, habitability, safety and comfort. The present dissertation also intends to demonstrate technical characteristics, construction methods, new technologies, uses, advantages and disadvantages of modular systems when applied to Architecture, defining the future search for contemporary houses that adapt to each way of life and prove to be easy to design and build by “anyone”. In a generation in which issues such as economics and sustainability become increasingly relevant, modularization and industrialization translate into a reference path that aims to reduce the ecological footprint in construction processes, contributing to the development of products with low environmental impact, maintaining high quality. In this premise, the dissertation proposes a new theoretical construction system defined as "industrialized, progressive and sustainable system for modular housing". This system intends to interpret the dynamic changes in housing behavior, triggering the modularization and industrialization of construction elements. It is in this context that the prefabricated modular housing appears, as a customizable option of progressive character, with the aim of achieving procedural, constructive and technical simplicity. Transfiguring the act of projecting, in this way, drastically, making it more complex in relation to conventional practice, but also more exact and homogeneous and paradoxically, less severe and uncompromising, adapting to the adversities of each one's life and opening new opportunities. Responding in this way to the contemporary need to simplify and speed up construction processes.
