- Neurosignature in Post Stroke Pain: A systematic reviewPublication . Buzhanskyy, Andriy; Lapa, Teresa Alexandra Santos; Abejas, Abel GarciaCentral Post Stroke Pain (CPSP) is a crippling condition that affects a significant portion of stroke victims. This ailment often presents itself as a painful paresthesia in any part of the body. Pain symptoms are usually characterized as burning, freezing, shocking or pressure. Moreover, there is no consensus regarding diagnostic criteria, pathophysiology, true symptoms, or even what brain lesions tend to evolve into CPSP. With this review, we aim to determine, with the help from MRI imaging what brain lesions are most often correlated with CPSP development. Additionally, we examine somme functional connectivity findings to establish a topographic correlation between CPSP and neural pathways.
