Abstract(s)
This Report comes as part of the conclusion of the 2nd Cycle of Studies in Journalism and aims, not only to expose all the work developed throughout the curricular internship that took place at the Communication and Image Office of the Academic Federation of University Sports (FADU), in Aveiro, as well as presenting the conclusions obtained in the research carried out throughout the 2022/23 academic year. The internship essentially consisted of writing news and providing logistical support for various events developed by the Federation. After a historical contextualization of sport, in general, as well as in University Sport; interviews were prepared with former Presidents of FADU. It was possible to conclude that although University Sports in Portugal are on a promising path, as a result of binary mandates, it still has a long way to go, in terms of proximity and relationship between Organized School Teams and University Sports. Although FADU has, to date, already received five nominations for the most active Federation, awarded by the European University Sports Federation, the highest point unanimously mentioned by all interviewees was the participation in the various international events.
