Os dispositivos móveis fazem parte do quotidiano de grande parte das populações, com
tendência a aumentar no futuro, sendo a sua utilização vista, cada vez mais, como uma
ferramenta de aquisição e partilha de informação. A forma como é apresentada essa
informação, vai influenciar a tomada de decisão, por parte do utilizador e a junção dos sistemas
de informação geográfica às aplicações móveis, permitirá um aumento do potencial científico
e/ou comercial de qualquer organização.
O desenvolvimento de uma aplicação que possa ser usada pela maioria dos utilizadores de
dispositivos móveis, que facilite a disponibilização de informação de forma rápida e de fácil
consulta, permitirá uma tomada de decisão por parte do utilizador em tempo real, podendo as
mesmas ser monitorizadas, valorizando a informação existente.
Mobile devices are part of everyday life for most people, with a trend to increase in the future, and their use is increasingly seemed as a tool to acquire and share information. The way information is presented will influence user decision-making and the combination of geographic information systems with mobile applications will result on an increase of scientific and/or potential business for any kind of organization. The development of an application that can be used by the majority of mobile users, in order to facilitate the availability of information in a quick and easy way, which will allow real time user decision-making and that, can be monitored with the goal of a continuous improvement of contents that is intended to be presented or promoted.
