Abstract(s)
The architecture presents itself as the most embracing and complete discipline of all arts. However, this is only complete if interconnected with other underlying arts, in the many existing spectrums. This is why we propose an analysis and reflection on the connection between architecture and other arts, giving primary focus to ephemeral architecture linked to the performing arts, specifically the scenography. The scenography has gained greater importance in a contemporary context, although in a shy way but with a presence that gets noticed. Arts like theater always had a strong connection with the scenography, however, the enormous technological revolution and constant evolution in society leads us to greater opening into thinking, where culture has great weight and the various artistic disciplines become mutable between them. Thus open up doors to scenography, as an exhibitor of the world we see or imagine and interacting with numerous areas, leaving only to be connected to the performing arts theater as is normally associated. To understand the contemporary scenography, it’s necessary to know its origin and evolution to the present day. The scenography as an arm of architecture industry has great impact on other arts, such as cinema. It is therefore obvious, to understand the links between architecture and scenography and what are the other arts in the scenography has a leading role and how is made that connection. It is important to analyze and understand the impact between disciplines, to what extent are similar and what distinguishes them. Finally, the proposal has a practical component which is developing the project of a scene from the film The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014) that will translate the knowledge acquired during the investigation of the dissertation.
