Abstract(s)
desempenho.
No
The current panorama of constant change, both socially and industrially, makes communication a decisive factor in efficient production management. To reinforce this effectiveness, it is essential that organisations integrate a Visual Management System (VMS) into all stages of the production process, facilitating performance control and monitoring. As well as promoting greater internal transparency, the VMS requires the active and collaborative participation of all employees, encouraging their sense of responsibility and commitment to the company's objectives. To ensure the smooth running of an organisation, it is essential that the three dimensions of the QCD (Quality, Cost and Delivery) - are properly aligned. To this end, and with the aim of facilitating internal communication, increasing process efficiency and optimising results, a Visual Management System was developed and implemented from scratch. This work began with a literature review on the subject under study, in order to help prepare and carry out the practical part of the internship. In the practical part of the work, in addition to researching other implemented VMSs, communication with the organisation's employees was essential, as was observing the various meetings. After implementing the system developed from scratch, which included creating specific layouts, drawing up new documents and restructuring existing elements, it was possible to see a significant improvement in the fluidity of communication between the Production department and the support departments. This greater efficiency in the transmission of information has resulted in better organisation of production processes, allowing for more rigorous monitoring of operations and a more agile response to possible deviations. In addition, the clarity of the visual elements and the constant exchange of ideas contributed to more efficient communication with customers by ensuring that the information transmitted was more accurate, consistent and timely. Having fulfilled the main objective of the internship, the company is considered to have improved its internal organisation and, consequently, its production process. As far as future studies and implementations are concerned, the introduction of intradepartmental meetings in all departments directly linked to Production is recommended.
