Abstract(s)
Voice is the main instrument of radio's presenters and journalists. It´s through it that they present themselves to the listener and transmit the message. But is the importance of voice in radio quantifiable? What space do writing and reading occupie, as voice allies and conditionants? What do the main participants – professionals and listeners – think about the importance of voice and way of speaking in radio? In the present study, we try to answer to these questions, having as a practical buttress the quantitave and qualitative methods. We applied quests to the listeners and interviewed the professionals. The analysis of the used methods' results, so as the theorical study, helped us to conclude that voice has still a very important role in radio, but other factors are essential, like the efficacy in communication. The way you say things in radio, and, in many cases, the way you read things in radio are also crucial to the transmission of the radio's message and to capture de listener.
