Abstract(s)
Currently, ITV (Textile and Clothing Industry) is going through complex transformations, requiring professionals to adopt innovative methods in the production process of their company, to add value to their products, effectiveness, efficiency and simultaneously reduce waste. The modeling sector follows the same trend, emerging 3D modeling software. An innovation with extreme ability to help modelers and all those involved in the process. The present investigation intends to present the theme around an analysis related to the barriers that the textile industry faces in the implementation of technological innovations in the production process of a company. The main objective is to identify the most common barriers in the implementation of 3D modeling software and, later, enumerate measures to minimize them, since the recognition of the barriers that organizations face in the implementation of technological innovations, enables them to solve the problems identified in their production process and allows the establishment of a culture of continuous improvement. A semi-structured interview typology was developed, applied in a practical case study in the Davion company - a textile production company based in Oliveira do Hospital, to question and analyze the barriers that a company with vast years of experience in the sector, faces in the adoption of new technological innovations.
