Abstract(s)
O presente estudo objetiva comparar os níveis de inteligência emocional (IE) na escala total e
nas suas dimensões em função do género e dos grupos de idade e os níveis de adição à
Internet (AI) na escala total e nas suas dimensões em função do género e dos grupos de idade.
Participaram 1413 jovens e adultos. Os instrumentos de recolha de dados utilizados contém
um questionário sociodemográfico, a Escala de Inteligência Emocional de Schutte (Schutte,
Malouff & Bhullar, 2009) e a IAT, Internet Addiction Test (Young, 1998). O mesmo inicia com o
capítulo 1, onde se faz uma apresentação do tema em estudo, seguindo-se o capítulo 2 que
abarca os conteúdos próprios ao estudo empírico. Assim, na metodologia apresenta-se e
descreve-se a investigação desenvolvida, nomeadamente, os participantes, o instrumento de
recolha de dados, os procedimentos, tendo lugar também a apresentação e a discussão dos
resultados. Segue-se o capítulo 3 reservado às considerações finais. Por fim, surgem os
anexos, constando do anexo I uma bordagem aos conceitos chave do tema em estudo,
nomeadamente a inteligência emocional, a adição à Internet e a relação entre inteligência
emocional e adição à internet. No anexo II descrevem-se todos os procedimentos
metodológicos inerentes ao estudo empírico.
This study aims to compare the emotional intelligence levels (EI) at full scale and its dimensions by gender and age groups and Internet addition levels (IA) at full scale and its dimensions by gender and age groups. Participated 1413 young people and adults. The data collection instruments used contains a sociodemographic questionnaire, the Emotional Intelligence Scale Schutte (Schutte, Malouff & Bhullar, 2009) and the IA, Internet Addiction Test (Young, 1998). The same begins with Chapter 1, where it makes a theme of the presentation in the study, followed by Chapter 2 that includes the own content to the empirical study. Thus, the methodology presents and describes the research carried out, in particular, the participants, the data collection instrument, the procedures taking place also the presentation and discussion of results. Followed by Chapter 3 reserved for closing remarks. Finally, attachments appear as Annex I planking to one theme key concepts under study, including emotional intelligence, the addition to the Internet and the relationship between emotional intelligence and adding Internet. Annex II describes all the methodological procedures inherent in the empirical study.
