Abstract(s)
This report is structured in two chapters and aims to present the activities carried out during the Pedagogical Internship, which took place at the Quinta das Palmeiras Secondary School (ESQP), part of the Pêro da Covilhã School Group, in the 2022/2023 school year. The initial chapter presents all the work that was developed, and which contributed positively to the intern's formation as a future teacher in Physical Education. This chapter highlights the involvement with the 2nd Cycle Primary School class and the 3rd Cycle Primary and Secondary School classes. It includes the contextualization of the schools, the objectives, the characterization of the classes, the teaching/learning processes, and the respective evaluations. It also covers the work carried out with the School Community, "Desporto Escolar", "Desporto Ativo", Class Management, and other projects developed, as well as the relevant reflections in each area. The final chapter presents the research project related to the promotion of Physical Activity in the Educational Community of the Quinta das Palmeiras Secondary School. The "Pausas Ativas" program has been running at ESQP since the 2021/2022 school year, so in addition to continuing it, we wanted to understand the relevance that the target population attaches to it. Nine members of the ESQP Secretariat, aged between 46 and over 60, most of them female, took part in this study and were given a questionnaire designed for the purpose. The data collected shows that 71.4% of the respondents spend more than 6 hours a day on the computer, and only 42.9% of the secretarial staff reported practicing physical activity outside the workplace. 75% of the participants consider the impact of the program on the school community to be positive, and all of them consider the effect of the program on the functioning of the secretariat to be positive, recognizing that it also contributes to their wellbeing and a healthier lifestyle. We can therefore conclude that the program is relevant and that it should be continued, or similar programs should be developed to promote healthy lifestyles through physical activity in the school community, with Physical Education playing an essential role in their implementation.
