Abstract(s)
The Covid-19 pandemic crisis restructured the organizations' business strategy, which had to adapt to the implemented health standards. In this paradigm of unpredictability, the circulation of information was frequent within organizations, due to the need to communicate about the virus and labor issues during risk management. The main goal of this dissertation was to understand how the pandemic context caused by Covid-19 changed or not the practice of Internal Communication at Twintex - Indústria de Confeções, Lda. For this purpose, the perceptions of employees and managers of Twintex were analyzed about the communication practices in the pandemic and non-pandemic period and also about the decision making process in risk management. The research was based on the mixed method, in which the qualitative methodology was used through interviews to the members of the management, and the quantitative methodology through the application of surveys to the employees. The results show that from the point of view of Twintex's managers and employees, the pandemic crisis contributed to an increase in the communication flow, as well as to a restructuring of the communication tools used, namely formal and informal communication. Among the perceived changes, we highlight the growth in the use of email and internal work meetings, the adoption of tools such as virtual meetings that still remain, and the increase in practices that promote symmetrical communication.
