Abstract(s)
O uso de elementos lúdicos, como jogos e brincadeiras, para fins educacionais é um tema
bastante debatido, tanto nas escolas quantos no ambiente acadêmico. E, utilizar os videojogos,
que possuem um potencial imersivo e engajador é um dos tópicos que mais alimentam esse
debate. Esse trabalho tem como objetivo propor um framework de game design que auxilie no
processo de criação de objetos lúdicos digitais com finalidades pedagógicas.
O framework eMDAX (educational, Mechanics, Dynamics, Aesthetics and Experience) utiliza de
conceitos da pedagogia, do game design e da semiótica para que os desenvolvedores de jogos
tenham um suporte teórico e prático nas diferentes etapas de criação de um jogo educativo.
Para verificar e analisar a praticidade e os resultados obtidos quando o framework é utilizado,
foi proposto para estudantes da área de desenvolvimento de jogos digitais ideasse projetos com
fins educativos com e sem o uso do eMDAX. Essas ideias de projetos foram analisadas por
especialistas da área de educação para que esses avaliassem suas qualidades lúdicas e,
principalmente, pedagógicas. Os resultados obtidos apontam que o eMDAX é uma ferramenta
capaz de influenciar positivamente projetos de jogos que buscam desenvolver o processo de
aprendizagem em seu público.
Utilizing ludic elements, such as games and plays, to educational purposes is a widely debated topic in schools and in academic environments. One of the most debated topics is the use of videogames and its imersive and engaging potencials. This work has as its objective to propose a game design tool that assists in the creation process of digital ludic objects with educational purposes. The eMDAX (Educational, Mechanics, Dynamics, Aesthetics and Experience) framework uses concepts from pedagogy, game design and semiotics so that the game developers has a pratic and teoric support in the different steps of creating an educational game. To verify and analyze the practicity and obtained results when the framework is used it was proposed for game development students to create projects for educational purposes with and without using eMDAX. Experts from the educational area analyzed the ideas and projects proposed by its ludic and educational qualities. The obtained results suggests that the eMDAX is a tool that is capable of influence positively game projects that seeks to develop the learning process of its public.
