Abstract(s)
A avaliação
This practicum report was written based on situations, learning and experiences made possible by the pedagogical internship curricular unit. The present report was carried out as part of the Master’s in Teaching Physical Education in Basic and Secondary Education and held in Escola Secundária Quinta das Palmeiras (ESQP) being the entity that hosted and made it possible to carry out the internship. Later on, classes at Escola Básica Pêro da Covilhã (EBPC) were also attended and observed. Regarding chapter 1 of this report, the tasks that helped and contributed to my training as a future Physical Education teacher will be described, more specifically, the contextualisation of schools, the objectives inherent in this process, the characterization of classes, as well as operational aspects experienced. Finally, it shows as well reflections of my participation in school sports, class management and other activities carried out at the school. With regards to chapter 2, it focuses on the research project, which in this specific case, aims to improve the Assessment of Motor Skills in Physical Education. Assessment is considered an integral part of the educational process, essential in any education proposal. It is linked to teaching and learning processes, however, in practice it is quite disconnected from this. The present study presents an alternative to the current evaluation model, the Evaluation by Rubrics. As this criterial assessment facilitates what students need to learn and how to do it, meaning that when “faced with a rubric that is assumed to be clear and well constructed, students and teachers are well aware of the characteristics and qualities that the work should have to demonstrate the learning accomplished” (Fernandes, 2021). In this study I will understand the advantages of using assessment as a form of learning, through assessment by rubrics.
