| dc.description.abstract | No presente artigo, analiso a imagem que os principais contos da antologia The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven, de Sherman Alexie, transmitem dos ameríndios, na contemporaneidade, com vista a traçar o seu perfil identitário. O texto encontra-se estruturado de acordo com alguns elementos relevantes para definir a identidade: sentido comunitário, tradições reinventadas, ídolos e modelos, tradições orais e laços com a natureza. No espírito dos Estudos Culturais, recorro a opiniões de historiadores, sociólogos, antropólogos e folcloristas que se debruçaram sobre este tema. | pt_PT |
