Abstract(s)
O presente trabalho encontra-se dividido em três capítulos, relativos às vertentes de Investigação, Farmácia Hospitalar e Farmácia Comunitária.
O primeiro capítulo diz respeito à componente de investigação que culminou com a elaboração de um manual com informação a dispensar ao doente oncológico, relativa ao seu tratamento antineoplásico. Pretende-se com este trabalho melhorar a intervenção farmacêutica em oncologia na Comunidade dos Países de Língua Portuguesa (CPLP) e contribuir para a efetividade e segurança da terapêutica antineoplásica. Desta forma, para os tipos de cancro mais prevalentes (cancro da mama, cancro colorretal, cancro do pulmão, cancro da bexiga e cancros hematológicos) foram elaborados protocolos de quimioterapia/ imunoterapia com explicitações relativas ao plano de tratamento, sendo que, para cada protocolo, está disponível uma representação esquemática da terapêutica a ser realizada. Está também disponível informação acerca dos efeitos secundários mais comuns da terapêutica antineoplásica, dando a conhecer como estes se manifestam e que medidas podem ser tomadas no sentido de os prevenir e/ou minimizar. Espera-se que este manual constitua uma ferramenta útil, no sentido em que a informação a dispensar, pelo farmacêutico, ao doente oncológico, possa contribuir para o melhor cumprimento do plano terapêutico e para o esclarecimento de eventuais dúvidas associadas, melhorando, desta forma, os resultados terapêuticos. O segundo capítulo relata as diferentes atividades desenvolvidas no decorrer do estágio em Farmácia Hospitalar nos Serviços Farmacêuticos do Centro Hospitalar Universitário Cova da Beira, decorrido de 21 de janeiro a 8 de março de 2019, contabilizando o total de 7 semanas. Durante este período, desenvolvi uma série de competências e conhecimentos que me permitiram compreender a grande responsabilidade das funções de um farmacêutico dentro dos Serviços Farmacêuticos de um hospital.
O terceiro capítulo é referente às atividades desenvolvidas durante o estágio em Farmácia Comunitária, na Farmácia Modelar, decorrido de 11 de março a 31 de maio de 2019, num total de 12 semanas. No decorrer do estágio tive oportunidade de interiorizar o importante papel do farmacêutico comunitário junto à população, a responsabilidade das diferentes intervenções em saúde, permitindo-me assim adquirir uma série de conhecimentos úteis enquanto futura profissional.
The present dissertation is organized in three chapters, on aspects of Research, Community and Hospital Pharmacy. The first chapter describes the research component that culminated in the development of a guide with information to dispense to the oncological patient, regarding its antineoplastic treatment. The purpose of this dissertation consists in improving the pharmaceutical intervention on oncology in the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP), contributing to the effectiveness and safety of antineoplastic therapy. Thus, for the most prevalent types of cancer (breast cancer, colorectal cancer, lung cancer, bladder cancer and hematological cancers) chemotherapy/ immunotherapy protocols were developed with explanations about the treatment plan and containing a schematic representation of the therapy to be administered. It is also available information about the most common side effects of the antineoplastic therapy, how these are manifested and measures that can be taken to prevent and/or minimize those adverse effects. This guide is a valuable tool in the hospital services, since the information provided by the hospital pharmacist will help the oncological patient to comply with the therapeutic plan and to clarify any doubts with the aim of improving the therapeutic results. The second chapter describes the activities developed during the traineeship in Hospital Pharmacy, conducted in Pharmaceutical Services of Centro Hospitalar Universitário Cova da Beira, between 21st of January and 8th of March, accounting the total of seven weeks. During this period, I developed a series of skills and acquirements that allowed me to understand the great responsibility of the functions of the pharmacist that works in Pharmaceutical Services in a hospital. The third chapter refers to the activities developed during the traineeship in Community Pharmacy, in Farmácia Modelar, between March 11th and May 31st, accounting the total of twelve weeks. During the traineeship, I had the opportunity of understanding the important role of community pharmacist among the population, the responsibility of the different health interventions, allowing me to acquire a series of useful knowledge as a future professional.
