A agricultura em Portugal, neste contexto de mudanças climáticas, enfrenta os maiores
desafios ao nível de recursos e sustentabilidade, confronta-se com obstáculos
significativos para a sua expansão, atratividade e mitigação dos efeitos da atividade no
ambiente. Os períodos de seca extrema serão cada vez mais frequentes, vagas de calor,
incêndios florestais e tempestades que provocam inundações rápidas. Estes fatores
contribuem para as desigualdades, sociais e económicas. Acresce o contexto de incerteza
e volatilidade dos mercados, o risco associado e o rendimento dos agricultores que fica
posto em causa.
O setor agrícola encontra-se demasiados exposto a estas condicionantes que impactam
na sua atividade, o que faz com que o setor perca atratividade e competitividade. A
possibilidade de abandono das explorações e a possibilidade de colocar a agricultura
como uma atividade secundária expõe a necessidade de criar estruturas
profissionalizadas. Nesse sentido, o objetivo deste plano de negócios é criação de uma
empresa de gestão de propriedades agrícolas, que desenvolva a atividade seguindo as
boas práticas, com uma estrutura profissionalizada, que garanta uma gestão mais
eficientes dos recursos e processos. A conceção deste modelo de negócio está alinhada
com os Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS) e pretende esbater as
desigualdades sociais e económicas, através da criação e distribuição de valor.
Agriculture in Portugal, in this context of climate change, faces the greatest challenges in terms of resources and sustainability, facing significant obstacles to its expansion, attractiveness and mitigation of the effects of the activity on the environment. Periods of extreme drought will be more frequent, heat waves, forest fires and storms that cause flash floods. These factors contribute to inequalities social and economic. Added to this is the context of market uncertainty and volatility, the associated risk and the income of farmers that is called into question. The agricultural sector is too exposed to these constraints that impact this activity, which causes the sector to lose attractiveness and competitiveness. The possibility of abandoning farms and the possibility of placing agriculture as a secondary activity exposes the need to create professionalized structures. In this sense, the objective of this business plan is the creation of an agricultural property management company, which develops the activity according to good practices, with a professionalized structure, which guarantees a more efficient management of resources and processes. The design of this business model is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and aims to reduce social and economic inequalities through the creation and distribution of value.
