Abstract(s)
The present study seeks to understand in greater depth how the three dimensions of coparenting, cooperation, triangulation and conflict, influence the child's prosocial behavior. Considering this, fathers and mothers of children aged between 6 and 12 years old (traditional and intact families) were asked to fill out a sociodemographic questionnaire, the Portuguese version of the Coparenting Questionnaire (CQ) and the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) . With the results, it was possible to conclude that conflictual coparenting is a negative predictor of children's prosocial behavior, and that in this study, cooperation and triangulation did not prove to be a significant predictor of their prosocial behavior. This study contributed to a clearer and more in-depth understanding of how coparenting influences the behavior and well-being of school-age children.
