| dc.description.abstract | Nos Ćŗltimos anos temos assistido a uma mudanƧa de paradigma no qual as doenƧas crĆ³nicas surgem como as causas principais de mortalidade e morbidade na populaĆ§Ć£o mundial. Ć neste contexto, de peso crescente das doenƧas crĆ³nicas aliado ao envelhecimento da populaĆ§Ć£o, que surge a e-SaĆŗde como soluĆ§Ć£o para assegurar os cuidados de saĆŗde necessĆ”rios e controlo dos fatores de risco. A e-SaĆŗde congrega todas as tecnologias de informaĆ§Ć£o e comunicaĆ§Ć£o que podem ser envolvidas e utilizadas no setor saĆŗde. Nesta Ć”rea podemos observar diversas componentes, destacando-se a telemonitorizaĆ§Ć£o, uma disciplina em grande evoluĆ§Ć£o assim como a indĆŗstria do setor. Contudo, apesar do reconhecido potencial, a implementaĆ§Ć£o da telemonitorizaĆ§Ć£o foi pouco explorada atĆ© ao momento. O objetivo geral desta dissertaĆ§Ć£o foi estudar o conhecimento das doenƧas crĆ³nicas e e-SaĆŗde em Portugal sendo realizado um questionĆ”rio entre os dias 26 de setembro e 3 de outubro para avaliar a compreensĆ£o da populaĆ§Ć£o sobre os conceitos de DoenƧas CrĆ³nicas, e-SaĆŗde, TelemonitorizaĆ§Ć£o, TeleassistĆŖncia, TelessaĆŗde, TeleducaĆ§Ć£o e Telemedicina bem como a sua adesĆ£o aos mesmos, contando com 104 participantes. Os resultados obtidos demonstram que a maioria da populaĆ§Ć£o conhece os conceitos e concorda com o uso da telemedicina embora poucos tenham participado em teleconsultas e tenham respondido que preferem uma consulta presencial. | dc.description.abstract | In recent years we have witnessed a paradigm shift in which chronic diseases appear as the leading causes of mortality and morbidity in the world population. It is in this context, with increasing weight of chronic diseases coupled with the aging of the population, that e-Health emerges as a solution to ensure the necessary health care and control of risk factors. E-Health brings together all the information and communication technologies that can be involved and used in the health sector. In this area we can observe several components, highlighting the telemonitoring, a discipline in great evolution as well as the industry of the sector. However, despite the recognized potential, the implementation of telemonitoring has been little explored so far. The general objective of this dissertation was to study the knowledge of chronic diseases and e-Health in Portugal, with a questionnaire conducted between the days 26 of September and 3 of October to evaluate the understanding of the population on the concepts of Chronic Diseases, e-Health, Telemonitoring, Teleassistance, Telehealth, Teleducation and Telemedicine as well as their adherence to them, counting on 104 participant. The obtained results show that the majority of the population knows the concepts and agrees with the use of telemedicine although few have participated in teleconsults and have responded that they prefer a face-to-face consultation. In summary, the population recognizes the importance of e-Health and has knowledge about it, although most know the concept, there is still much work in this area. | eng |
