Chapter 1 This stage was conducted during the academic year 2010/2011, at Campos Melo Secondary School, in Covilhã, Portugal. The primarily objective is to describe my work as an intern, an introspection about the internship, relative to the planning and teaching, listing both the positive and negative aspects of my intervention with the class, as well as giving some suggestions about how, if possible, to improve the conduct of the pedagogical internship in years to come. Keywords: Teaching Practice, Teaching-Learning, School Context. Chapter 2 The rate of child obesity in Portugal has been on the rise, this problem is mainly related to the fact that the general levels of physical activity are declining, against a more sedentary life style. The present study is experimental, utilizing two groups, an experimental group and a control group, both composed by 12 students between the ages of 13-16 years old, that attend Campos Melo Secondary School, in Covilhã, Portugal, being that all of them must be outside the considered healthy values of IMC, or outside the healthy values of the Fitnessgram. The objectives of this study are to evaluate the obese and pre-obese students body composition, evaluate their aerobic resistance when submitted to an individualized training program for 10 weeks (2 weekly sessions, 60 minutes each), and finally evaluate the evolution of their body composition. In terms of the results, every element of the experimental group improved from their initial values, some of them with significant gains p<0,05, mainly in the aerobic resistance. In respects of the IMC values, we also saw improvements, with some elements of the experimental group transiting from pre-obesity to healthy values.
