Abstract(s)
temáticas predominantes no campo. Dentre as lacunas identificadas, notou-se a baixa
incidência de estudos interculturais, a predominância de metodologias quantitativas e a
necessidade de abordagens mais interdisciplinares. Vieses linguísticos e a dependência
This master thesis explores the emerging field of emotional design, an interdisciplinary area that combines design and the understanding of human emotions to create more meaningful experiences. The general objective of this study was to analyze the evolution of research in emotional design through a bibliometric analysis, using the literature available in the Scopus database as a source. To map academic production in this field, scientific mapping techniques were used and the VOSviewer software was chosen to process and visualize the data. The results made it possible to identify trends and collaborations in the literature on emotional design, as well as observe, for example, the central publications and predominant themes in the field. Among the gaps identified, the low incidence of intercultural studies, the predominance of quantitative methodologies and the need for more interdisciplinary approaches were noted. Linguistic biases and dependence on keywords used by the authors were some of the limitations found. Overall, emotional design as a dynamic field offers vast potential for reshaping the interaction between humans, products, and services. By identifying trends and gaps, this research provides direction for future studies, thus contributing to the evolution of the area.
