Para compreender a estrutura de produção de sentido e de argumentação do discurso
populista apresentado em nosso objeto de estudo, o marco teórico inicial que delimitamos
neste trabalho é o discurso persuasivo, observado a partir da retórica, da dialética erística e
da teoria da argumentação. Feita essa aproximação, observamos o fenômeno do populismo
sob a ótica dos principais teóricos contemporâneos, de modo a compreender as
características e a relevância do fenômeno no cenário político mundial. Em seguida,
aplicamos ao discurso populista um modelo de análise textual fundamentado na semiótica
greimasiana, a fim de compreendermos a estrutura de produção de sentido do discurso
populista. A partir desse enquadramento teórico, analisamos o discurso produzido e
propagado, via Twitter, pelo atual presidente do Brasil, o Sr. Jair Messias Bolsonaro,
durante o pleito eleitoral de 2018. Esta análise é feita a partir de duas dimensões: a primeira
fundamenta-se na análise semiótica textual, no âmbito das estruturas discursivas, e se
dedica a descortinar quais foram os temas e quais foram as figuras investidas para criar
efeitos de sentido, como o do desejo da renovação política e do antipetismo. A segunda
dimensão de análise fundamenta-se na observação dos argumentos produzidos com o
objetivo de clarificar a estrutura dos argumentos e quais foram as recorrências
argumentativas.
To understand the structure of meaning production and argumentation of populist discourse presented in our object of study, the initial theoretical framework that we delimit in this work is the persuasive discourse, observed from rhetoric, eristic dialectics and argumentation theory. With this approach, we observe the phenomenon of populism from the point of view of the main contemporary theoreticians, in order to understand the characteristics and relevance of the phenomenon in the world political scene. Then we apply to populist discourse a model of textual analysis based on Greimasian semiotics in order to understand the structure of meaning production of populist discourse. From this theoretical framework we analyze the discourse produced and propagated via Twitter by the current president of Brazil, Mr. Jair Messias Bolsonaro, during the 2018 election. This analysis is based on two dimensions: the first is based on textual semiotic analysis within the discursive structures and is dedicated to discovering what were the themes and what were the figures invested to create sense effects such as the desire for political renewal and antipetisis. The second dimension of analysis is based on the observation of the arguments produced with the aim of clarifying the structure of the arguments and what the argumentative recurrences were.
