Abstract(s)
Apesar da crença em contrário, os indivíduos continuam a preocupar-se com a aparência, não obstante o processo de envelhecimento. É necessário criar vestuário adequado aos seus corpos envelhecidos, que satisfaça as suas necessidades e tenha em atenção os seus gostos.
Com o objectivo de desenvolver uma colecção de vestuário destinada a mulheres com mais de 65 anos, foram realizadas entrevistas exploratórias, para perceber melhor as dificuldades da população alvo, um levantamento antropométrico, para a criação de tamanhos e moldes adequados aos corpos envelhecidos e um teste de aviamentos à usabilidade, para determinar quais os aviamentos a utilizar na colecção de vestuário.
A colecção de vestuário foi desenvolvida apelando às memórias das seniores, utilizando o enxoval como temática, algo a que estas se dedicaram durante a sua juventude, mas atentando nas modificações corporais sofridas, através do desenvolvimento de roupa que facilite a usabilidade para estas mulheres.
Despite the contrary belief, the ageing individuals still care about their appearance, despite the ageing process. It is necessary to create appropriate clothing that suits their ageing bodies, meets their needs and considers their preferences. With the purpose of developing a fashion collection that is suitable for women over 65, were conducted exploratory interviews, to better understand the difficulties of the target population, an anthropometric study, for the creation of sizes and patterns that suit the aged bodies and a usability haberdashery test was filmed, to determine which to use in the fashion collection. The fashion collection was develop to appeal to the seniors’ memories, using the handmade techniques used to decorate the home textiles as a theme, something that these women did in their youth, but keeping the body modifications in mind, through the development of clothing that helps the usability for these women.
