Abstract(s)
apresentado.
This report describes the projects developed at the RED Umbrella store & studio, developed over a six-month internship, integrated in the Master of Industrial Design at the University of Beira Interior. Due to the importance it assumed throughout the internship and for its contribution in defining the principles of a personal approach, the “CRIA” project becomes the center of the report. The project was carried out on an individual basis, which was simultaneously monitored and guided by the person in charge of the studio. It also contains all the stages the project went through from the briefing, launched by the studio, to the creation and layout. In addition to this project, this report discloses furniture projects implemented throughout the internship for the RED Umbrella brand as well as for other clients. Throughout the report, the importance of technological evolution and its influence on our daily lives is addressed, but in return its connection with the past, recovered through memory, demonstrating how th e past and the future can complement each other in order to create a connection between the product and the user, showing that the approximation of both elements is a necessity. This work is the result of a collection of information about technology, new habits and ways of being, and the relationship and application of these ideas in the presented project.
