Abstract(s)
This research was aimed to evaluate the Quality of Working Life and Health Behaviours of workers in a multinational. In addition, we sought to verify the relationship between both, and the relationship between each one of the variables and the main socio-demographic variables. The sample for this study consisted in 81 workers of a multinational which operate in the food sector, where 56 were men and 23 women, most of which belonged to the range between 40 and 49 years. The instruments used consisted in a socio-demographic questionnaire, a questionnaire entitled, the Questionnaire of Aptitudes and Health Behaviors to measure health behaviors of individuals (Ribeiro, 2004) and the Inventory of Quality of Working Life (Dias, 2009), to evaluate the importance and frequency of quality of Working Life in individuals. The results indicate a correlation between Quality of Working Life and Health Behaviour adopted by the participants. More in particular, results show that participants tend to adopt positive health behaviors, including their nutrition, self-care and motorized safety. Relatively to Quality of Working Life they point out that in level of comparison between the scale of importance and frequency scale, the attribution of greater to importance rather to frequency, with respect to different dimensions. It is also important to note that the dimensions with highest value on the scale of importance coincide with those that are reported as more frequent.
