Abstract(s)
A desigualdade na Vila de Ponta Negra, bem como noutras cidades, desencadeia vários
outros problemas, tais como o déficit habitacional e a insalubridade nas habitações. Por
outro lado, constata-se a presença de vazios urbanos bem como com a ausência de espaço
público que estimule a vivência na cidade, consequentemente, a privação do direito à
cidade.
Elabora-se uma proposta arquitetónica de habitação de interesse social na Vila de Ponta
Negra (Natal, Brasil), que procura responder a problemática social e urbana. Que é
fundamentada pela contextualização histórica, social relativa ao Brasil e Portugal, e um
estudo urbanístico acerca do conceito de cidade.
Com esta proposta pretende-se fomentar uma visão integrada, isto é, não se restringirá
apenas no edifício de habitação social, mas sim em todo um espaço envolvente que irá
revitalizar uma área devoluta da Vila de Ponta Negra.

On the other hand, there is the presence of urban voids as well as the absence of public space that encourages people to live in the city, and consequently the deprivation of the right to the city. An architectural proposal is drawn up for social housing in the town of Ponta Negra (Natal, Brazil), which seeks to respond to social and urban problems. It is based on a historical and social contextualisation of Brazil and Portugal, and an urban study of the concept of the city. The aim of this proposal is to promote an integrated vision, i.e., it will not be restricted to the social housing building, but rather to the entire surrounding area that will revitalize a vacant area in the town of Ponta Negra.
