Os sistemas automatizados estão cada vez mais implementados nos processos industriais, e são, cada vez, mais complexos. Devido a essa complexidade a manutenção tem uma função crucial, pois há a necessidade de garantir menos paragens provocadas por avarias.
O propósito desta investigação é estudar alguns equipamentos por forma a obter ganhos de produtividade numa linha de produção da TE Connectivity, através da aplicação de metodologias Lean e do Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), com o objetivo de aumentar a produtividade, de forma imediata, eficaz e com o mínimo de desperdícios, para o sucesso da empresa.
A questão geral que vai orientar a dissertação é: a aplicação das metodologias Lean aliadas ao TPM melhoram, significativamente, a produtividade de uma determinada linha de produção fabril? Já a questão específica é: consegue-se reduzir tempos de paragem e eliminar perdas, garantindo a qualidade, com a aplicação das metodologias Lean e do TPM?
Automated systems are increasingly deployed in industrial processes, and are becoming more complex. Because of this complexity maintenance has a crucial role, because there is the need to ensure fewer stops caused by breakdowns. The purpose of this research is to study some equipment in order to achieve productivity gains in production line of TE Connectivity, by applying Lean methodologies and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), in order to increase productivity, immediately, effectively and with minimal waste, for business success. The general question that will guide the work is: the application of Lean methodologies combined with the TPM improve significantly the productivity of a given line of factory production? Already the specific question is: can to reduce downtime and eliminate waste, ensuring quality implementation of Lean methodologies and TPM?
