Abstract(s)
concorrentes.
anteriormente.
The success of organizations is now increasingly affected by their operational and financial performance, and this, combined with the high level of competition between companies, means that they have to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of their processes and operations. To this end, the search for competitive advantages is present in all organizations, so that they can differentiate themselves from their competitors. In this context, logistics is a sensitive area, particularly when it comes to warehousing where, even though it doesn't add value to products, by optimizing it, it is possible to reduce waste and minimize costs, which in turn makes it possible to differentiate organizations from their competitors. That said, focusing on the analysis and optimization of ACI - Automotive Compounding Industry's warehouse, this report presents the results of the study carried out during my internship at the organization, which aimed to analyze the performance of the organization's industrial warehouse and, more specifically, the positioning of materials within the warehouse. This analysis of materials and their positioning sought to optimize the allocation of raw materials and provide an overview of the state of the warehouse, its capacity and its potential, with the aim of contributing to increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the company's production process and its warehouse. By carrying out this internship, it was not only possible to carry out an analysis of the company's raw material warehouse and carry out an optimized simulation of the allocation of raw materials in the warehouse, but also to provide an overview of its storage area, proving that the company's maximum storage capacity is normally capable of satisfying the raw material storage needs for a week's production, something that had not previously been proven.
