Abstract(s)
O presente relatório encontra-se dividido em três capítulos que abordam
respetivamente, o meu projeto de investigação referente à análise de 4ß-hidroxi-?5-
esteroides em amostras biológicas, o meu estágio curricular em Farmácia Comunitária e
o meu estágio curricular em Farmácia Hospitalar.
O primeiro capítulo foca-se na componente de investigação que foi desenvolvida no
Centro de Investigação em Ciências da Saúde da Universidade da Beira Interior (CICSUBI). Existe pouca informação na literatura sobre 4ß-hidroxi-?5-esteroides, não só sobre
a sua atividade biológica e possíveis aplicações farmacológicas, mas também sobre
métodos analíticos validados para a sua análise. Os métodos analíticos utilizados
atualmente são complexos e dispendiosos, pelo que o desenvolvimento e validação de
métodos analíticos mais simples é vantajoso. Este capítulo engloba uma revisão
sistemática acerca dos métodos analíticos descritos na literatura para a análise de 4ßhidroxi-?5-esteroides e descreve a parte experimental, na qual foram sintetizados
padrões de 4ß-hidroxi-?5-esteroides para utilização no processo de validação de um
método HPLC/DAD para análise de 4ß-hidroxi-?5-esteroides em amostras biológicas.
O segundo capítulo faz a descrição da minha aprendizagem, atividades desempenhadas
e capacidades obtidas durante o meu estágio curricular em Farmácia Comunitária,
realizado na Farmácia Covilhã do dia 8 de fevereiro de 2022 a 28 de abril de 2022, sob a
orientação da Dr.ª Carmo Santos.
O capítulo final diz respeito ao meu estágio em Farmácia Hospitalar, que foi realizado
nos Serviços Farmacêuticos (SF) do Centro Hospitalar Universitário Cova da Beira
(CHUCB), no período de 2 de Maio de 2022 a 17 de Junho de 2022. Neste capítulo é feita
uma descrição dos vários setores em que se divide os SF do CHUCB, são relatadas as
atividades farmacêuticas realizadas em âmbito hospitalar e menciona as atividades que
realizei durante o estágio.
This report is divided into three chapters that address my research project regarding the analysis of 4ß-hydroxy-?5-steroids in biological samples, my curricular internship in Community Pharmacy, and my curricular internship in Hospital Pharmacy. The first chapter focuses on the research component developed at the Health Sciences Research Center of the University of Beira Interior (CICS-UBI). There is little information in the literature on 4ß-hydroxy-?5-steroids, not only on their biological activity and possible pharmacological applications but also on the validated analytical methods for their analysis. The analytical techniques currently used are complex and costly, so developing and validating simpler analytical methods is advantageous. This chapter encompasses a systematic review of the analytical methods described in the literature to analyze 4ß-hydroxy-?5-steroids. Additionally, it describes the experimental part, in which 4ß-hydroxy-?5-steroids standards were synthesized for use in the validation process of an HPLC/DAD method for the analysis of4ß-hydroxy-?5-steroids in biological samples. The second chapter describes my learning, activities performed, and skills obtained during my curricular internship in Community Pharmacy, held at Covilhã Pharmacy from February 8, 2022, to April 28, 2022, under the guidance of Dr. Carmo Santos. The final chapter concerns my hospital pharmacy internship at the Pharmaceutical Services of the Cova da Beira University Hospital Center (CHUCB), from May 2, 2022, to June 17, 2022. This chapter describes the various sectors in which the CHUCB Pharmaceutical Services is divided, reports the pharmaceutical activities carried out in the hospital and mentions the activities I performed during the internship.
