| dc.description.abstract | O percurso seguido ao longo desta dissertação cingiu-se, no essencial, a duas temáticas distintas, o alargamento da missão da Biblioteca Pública e a Biblioteca Municipal de Almeida nas suas múltiplas valências. Acerca da primeira inquirimos dos avanços e recuos da biblioteca, desde os primórdios de Alexandria até à mítica e global Alexandria do mundo contemporâneo, tecnológico e informacional, para depois tecermos algumas considerações sobre o propósito da conservação dos patrimónios locais, sua importância e significados. Seguidamente, abordámos a Biblioteca Municipal de Almeida, suas responsabilidades enquanto espaço público de livre acesso e de cidadania. A Biblioteca deve assumir-se enquanto guardiã da memória dos povos, tanto quanto os museus ou os arquivos, cabendo às bibliotecas municipais a obrigação de custodiar esse leque de memórias das gentes e sítios, porque coabita diariamente com elas, e por isso acresce-lhe o dever de as seleccionar e guardar para as poder transmitir e disponibilizar no futuro a outras gerações. A biblioteca municipal de Almeida, a adequação do seu funcionamento ao público-alvo, por forma a fazer um ponto de situação. Construímos uma radiografia da biblioteca municipal de Almeida por forma a perceber as suas realidades e potencialidades, já que consideramos que apenas a partir deste ponto se poderá delinear uma estratégia que promova a importância da biblioteca como uma das prioridades educativas e culturais da municipalidade de Almeida, tornando-a um pólo aglutinador de cidadania e participação. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | The path followed along this dissertation girded, essentially, two distinct themes, extending the remit of the Public Library and The Library of Almeida in its multiple valences. Foremost we inquire about the ebb and flow of the library, since the dawn of Alexandria to the mythical global Alexandria in the contemporary world, technological and informational, to weave some considerations about the purpose of conservation of heritage sites, its importance and significance. Then we approached Library of Almeida, it’s responsibilities as a public space, free access and citizenship. Like museums or archives, the Library is the guardian of the memory of the people, and the role of public libraries must assume the obligation of guarding this range of memories of people and places, as they cohabite with them daily. Therefore they have the duty to select and save those memories in order to transmit and make available in the future to further generations. About the municipal Library of Almeida, we seek to find if its modus operandi has been effective to attract the target audience, in order to make a point of situation. These are the assumptions that compelled us to complete a radiography of the municipal library Almeida and to understand their realities and potentialities, as we consider that only from this point it can outline a strategy that promotes the importance of the library as a educational and cultural priority in Almeida’s municipality, making it a central citizenship hub open to participation. | |
