Abstract(s)
A zona histórica da cidade da Covilhã, como em tantas outras cidades, tem sido deixada ao abandono e, consequentemente, os edifícios nela existentes avançam na sua degradação.
Sendo esta uma zona de extrema identidade da cidade, com uma articulação e linguagem muito próprias, a reabilitação é uma técnica de devolver ao edifício uma habilidade e uma funcionalidade, como também uma forma de promover um diálogo com e para a cidade.
Este diálogo constrói-se com a análise e compreensão da malha urbana horizontal
e vertical, articulando o edifício com a envolvente, promovendo uma reabilitação
assente na sustentabilidade, não só física mas também económica e social.
Assim sendo, este trabalho apresenta como se pode intervir, desde a metodologia à concepção de projecto, partindo de uma percepção fenomenológica do local de
intervenção, passando pela estruturação de uma metodologia de trabalho, até ao desenho de uma nova proposta escolhida no contexto urbano da Covilhã.
The historical area of Covilhã, as in so many other cities, has been left to the abandonment and, consequently, the existing buildings are progressing in their degradation. Since this is an area of extreme identity of the city, with a very own language and articulation, rehabilitation is a technique to return to building a skill and a feature, but also a way to promote a dialogue with and for the city. This dialogue built with the analysis and understanding of horizontal and vertical urban mesh, articulating the building with the existent, promoting rehabilitation based on sustainability, not only physical but also economic and social. Therefore, this work presents as can intervene, since the project design methodology, starting from a phenomenological perception of the place and structuring working methodology, until the design of a new proposal chosen in the urban context Covilhã.
