Abstract(s)
Videobserver™.
Pretendemos identificar a eficácia ofensiva
This work is divided into two parts, the first referring to the curricular internship and the second concerning research work. In the first part, we dealt with the game analysis, observation and the training process, with the main objective of increasing the performance of the youth team (under-17) of the Leiria Sports Union, where we have the role of assistant coach / analyst. To do so, we recorded 23 games of the ‘b’ national junior championship. These games were analyzed using the software: Videobserver ™. In the second part, the purpose of this study focused on the context of formation in football, in the ranks of (under15 and under-17), that compete in the ‘b’ and ‘c’ national junior championship. For the current study, 42 games were analyzed, with 22 participants from under (15) and 22 from under (17). We intend to identify the offensive effectiveness (absolute and relative) and the effect it has on the game's location (home versus away). We can conclude that there are a large number of scoring opportunities and a low number of shots on goal, of the 678 scoring opportunities, only 94 (13.86%) actually resulted in a goal. It was clear that the home team, has higher values of offensive effectiveness (absolute and relative) compared to the away team. It should be noted, that the away team, outside the penalty area, obtained higher values of absolute offensive effectiveness, as well as shots on goal that resulted in goal. Of the shots on goal that resulted in scoring, it is curious to note, that, outside the penalty area the home team had 7% probability of scoring, while the away team had 27% of probabilities of scoring, registering a significant difference. Thus, the main conclusion of this study, indicates, that the offensive effectiveness (absolute and relative) is influenced by the location of the game in football formation.
