Abstract(s)
Lean Manufacturing is a philosophy of industrial management. This incorporates different methodologies that aims to identify and eliminate all waste that exist in a business organization and increased competitiveness. This philosophy has its origins in Japan's post World War II because of the need to compete in markets thousands of kilometers away and it was essential to produce well at first and swiftly. Augmented Reality is a new technology that is being increasingly exploited and publicized. Many have been the advances that have registered. Nowadays, it’s possible, through a smartphone, acquire applications using this technology. The very first steps of this technology had been given with military applications in mind. However this technology left the military sphere and it’s now exploited for civilian purposes. This technology requires an image collection equipment, processing, and a display for showing images. Augmented Reality is nothing more than the crossing of digital images with the real environment. This way you can increase the perception and access to user information. This work aims to present theoretical applications of this technology for the implementation and / or application of Lean Manufacturing methodologies. It seeks to demonstrate how this technology can improve the implementation and / or application of those methodologies.
