Abstract(s)
This report describes three cases that were treated during the curricular internship at the Clinical and Experimental Sight Science Center (CCECV). The first one is a suspected age-related macular degeneration (AMD), the second one is a case of binocular vision and the third one is a case of myopia and astigmatism in which toric hydrophilic contact lenses were adapted. In the first case, a 65-year-old male patient presented clinical signs compatible with AMD with associated bilateral macular edema. The case was referred to the specialty of Ophthalmology. The second case of alterations in binocular vision refers to a 21-year-old female patient with Basic exophoria, diagnosed after performing the appropriate clinical tests. In the latter case, silicone-hydrogel hydrophilic contact lenses were adapted to a 27-year-old patient with myopia and astigmatism. The adaptation was carried out successfully.
