| dc.description.abstract | A migração das pessoas do meio rural para o urbano é um fator, que embora mais ou menos intenso, se tem visto ao longo dos anos, com o objetivo de encontrar nas grandes metrópoles melhores condições de vida. Um grande marco deste fenómeno é a revolução industrial com a proliferação das indústrias que levou as pessoas a deslocarem-se para as zonas industrializadas com a finalidade de aí encontrarem melhores oportunidades e empregos. Contudo, este fenómeno de êxodo rural faz com que as áreas rurais se encontrem cada vez mais despovoadas e, consequentemente, com o passar dos anos se espelhe numa degradação, em termos arquitetónicos, dos edifícios existentes. A aldeia de Corgas, pertencente a Proença-a-Nova, espelha a realidade da consequência do êxodo rural e da emigração que para trás deixou uma população, que com o passar do tempo se caracteriza na maior parte idosa; representando um decaimento de jovens na aldeia e, por conseguinte, o encerramento da antiga escola primária, que outrora proporcionou o ensino a diversos jovens e agora se manifesta como um edifício abandonado e degradado, sem qualquer utilidade. Neste contexto, e tendo em conta que se trata de uma dissertação de arquitetura, pretendese compreender o potencial do edificado abandonado, enquanto objeto arquitetónico e o papel da arquitetura nos atos de reabilitar o existente, atribuindo-lhe uma nova função através da atividade turística, com a finalidade de dinamizar a localidade. A metodologia da investigação sustenta-se em pesquisa bibliográfica, análise de casos de estudo, levantamento arquitetónico e a vertente de projeto. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | The migration of people from rural to urban is a factor that, although more or less intense, has been seen over the years, with the aim of finding better living conditions in large metropolises. A major milestone of this phenomenon is the industrial revolution with the proliferation of industries that led people to move to industrialized areas in order to find better opportunities and jobs there. However, this phenomenon of rural exodus makes rural areas increasingly depopulated and, consequently, over the years, is mirroring a degradation, in architectural terms, of existing buildings. The village of Corgas, belonging to Proença-a-Nova, reflects the reality of the consequence of the rural exodus and the emigration that left behind a population, which over time is characterized as mostly elderly; representing a decay of young people in the village and, therefore, the closure of the old elementary school, which once provided teaching to several young people and now manifests itself as an abandoned and degraded building, without any use. In this context and considering that it is an architectural dissertation, it is intended to understand the potential of the abandoned building, as an architectural object and the role of architecture in the acts of rehabilitating the existing, assigning it a new function through the tourist activity, in order to boost the locality. The research methodology is based on bibliographic research, study case analysis, architectural survey and the project aspect. | eng |
