| dc.description.abstract | O objetivo geral do presente trabalho é inventariar as patologias de origem geotécnica em edifícios, muros, arruamentos, taludes e de outras estruturas existentes na área urbana da Covilhã, apresentar esquemas de princípio sobre a sua origem, além de se avançar com algumas orientações genéricas sobre soluções de melhoramento de estabilidade dos maciços onde tais estruturas se implantam. O trabalho iniciou-se com uma pesquisa bibliográfica sobre situações clássicas de patologias geotécnicas em estruturas de engenharia civil em meios urbanos. No seguimento houve um exaustivo trabalho de campo, de modo a inventariar e caracterizar as patologias existentes nas várias estruturas e infra-estruturas da zona urbana (parcialmente) da Covilhã, tendo-se dado desenvolvimento apenas dos locais que se entendeu serem mais sensíveis. Por fim, e dependendo da complexidade das várias situações, foram dadas soluções genéricas para minorar/resolver tais situações. Salienta-se que com o presente trabalho apenas se pretende contribuir para a melhoria da sociedade civil no que diz respeito a problemas potenciais graves de origem geotécnica, sem ter, de modo algum a pretensão de resolver casos com soluções definitivas. | dc.description.abstract | The overall objective of this study is to map and classify the geotechnical pathologies of buildings, walls, roads, embankments and other structures in the existing urban area of Covilhã. The work begins with an investigation about the geotechnical conditions of classical situations in civil engineering structures in urban environments. The research then proceeds to a field work in order to identify and characterize the existing conditions in specific case-studies in the urban area (partially) of Covilhã. Finally, and depending on the complexity of the different situations, a possible technical approach is given to moderate / resolve such situations. It is noted that the present work only aims to contribute to the improvement of civil society with regard to serious potential sources of geotechnical problems, without in any way claim to solve cases with definitive solutions.
