Abstract(s)
Deste modo, no primeiro capítulo é descrita toda a revisão
No segundo capítulo é descrita a
This final internship report is presented as one of the requirements inherent to the master's degree in Fashion Design, with the aim of publicising the work carried out during the internship, which took place at the Torfal company in Colmeal da Torre, Belmonte. In this regard, this document aims to describe the tasks carried by the intern during her 6-month internship at the company where she was given the opportunity to develop and validate the skills acquired during her training in Textile and Clothing Fashion Design, applied to the practical case of Torfal, a company specialising in product development and the production of uniforms. The internship involved participating and accompanying the Torfal company's product department in public contest for uniforms at national and international level. Torfal is a Torre Fashion Group company founded in 1995 as a way of separating the two services provided by the organisation. This is how Torfal was born, specialising in the production of corporate clothing, and Torre, specialising in the production of fashion clothing. This document is divided into two chapters to provide a better understanding of its subject. The first chapter describes the entire literature review carried out by the master's student, which is divided into several sections describing the Textile and Clothing Industry, product development, ergonomics, the Corporate Clothing Market and sustainability. The second chapter describes the company, the projects carried out during the internship, with a brief explanation of how Baxter's methodology was applied to them, and the sustainability practices carried out by Torfal, both in production and in day-to-day work. At university you learn the theory and practical aspects of producing fashion clothing, which are fundamental for a professional in the area. However, these aspects are not enough for a corporate clothing designer, because you need knowledge of clothing certifications, not just raw material certifications, and a more information about the fabric structures. At the end of the internship, it can be concluded that it made a significant contribution to the master's student's personal and professional development, enabling her to acquire skills that are transversal to her area of training.
