Abstract(s)
O presente trabalho teve como objectivo principal o estudo de um motor de pequena cilindrada, nomeadamente o motor Gx22, de forma a verificar se seria possível a transformação do mesmo para utilização num UAV.
Para o estudo da previsão de desempenho do motor foram efectuadas medições, que posteriormente foram utilizadas nos programas de simulação Cam Analyzer e Engine Analyzer, que permitiram simular um banco de ensaios, permitindo obter as curvas características do motor antes e após a mudança de vários parâmetros/variáveis, tais como o desenho da árvore de cames, os valores máximos de abertura das válvulas, o seu tempo de abertura e fecho, o diâmetro das válvulas e a massa específica do ar na compressão. Pelos resultados obtidos foi possível verificar que, com base nas simulações efectuadas, a modificação do motor seria possível e traria benefícios a nível do rendimento e consumo.
This w main objective was to study the performance of a small displacement engine, in particular the GX22 engine, in order to verify whether it was possible the transformation of the same for use in a UAV. To predict the engine performance, measurements were made to be used larin the simulation programs Cam Analyzer and Engine Analyzer, which allowed us to simulate a dynamometer, allowing to obtain the characteristic curves of the engine before and after the change of several variable parameters, such as the design of the camshaft, the maximum values of valve opening, the opening time and closing, the diameter of the valves and air density in compression stage. From the results obtained we observed that, on the basis of simulations, the modification of the engine would be possible and would bring some benefits to the performance and to the consumption.
