Abstract(s)
Nas últimas décadas a evolução da transformação digital provocou mudanças bastantes
significativas, tanto na esfera económica como nas esferas sociais e culturais. Com isso
houve uma importante mudança no comportamento das pessoas, alterando
significativamente o mercado de trabalho, e por consequência, exigindo mudanças no
âmbito da educação. O ensino padronizado e tradicional parece não mais suprir as
necessidades do mundo atual, deixando claro a necessidade de adaptação dessas
instituições de ensino. A fim de satisfazer essas necessidades latentes de mudança no
sistema de ensino e visando promover a inovação em ambiente escolar, surgiram ao
longo das últimas décadas, novas metodologias pedagógicas e abordagens de ensino
que potencializam as habilidades e competências exigidas neste novo paradigma e
atendem às necessidades de preparação dos indivíduos para suas vidas pessoais e
profissionais. Propõe-se como objetivo principal de investigação analisar a efetividade
da utilização da abordagem Design Thinking como ferramenta de promoção da
inovação académica. Optou-se por realizar uma investigação de abordagem qualitativa
de natureza descritiva-exploratória com base em estudo de caso e na investigação-ação.
A investigação foi realizada no âmbito do curso Mestrado de Empreendedorismo e
Criação de Empresas em sua unidade curricular de Desafio Empresariais. O resultado
obtido na utilização do Design Thinking aplicado a inovação académica é a proposta de
um novo programa da unidade curricular de Desafios Empresariais, onde foram
introduzidas componentes de metodologias construtivistas e da aprendizagem ativa.
Além disso, constatou-se que o Design Thinking contribui para a inovação académica
pois a abordagem tem a capacidade de identificar os problemas e, através do
pensamento criativo, desenvolver soluções capazes de promover a inovação. Sugere-se
como novas linhas de investigação o Desenvolvimento de um plano de Design Thinking
aplicado a inovação académica que abrangesse todas as unidades curriculares do curso
de Mestrado em Empreendedorismo e Criação de Empresas, e outros cursos no âmbito
do ensino superior.
In the last decades, the evolution of digital transformation has brought about quite significant changes, both in the economic sphere and in the social and cultural spheres. As a result, there was an important change in people's behaviour, changing the world of work, and consequently, requiring changes in the world of education. The standardized and traditional education no longer seems to fulfill the needs of the current world, indicating the necessity for adaptation of these educational institutions. To satisfy these latent needs for change in the education system while aiming to promote innovation in the school environment, new pedagogical methodologies and teaching approaches have emerged over the last decades with the purpose of enhancing the skills and competencies that are required in this new paradigm and meet the needs of preparing individuals for their personal and professional lives. The main research objective is to analyze the effectiveness of using the Design Thinking approach as a tool to promote academical innovation. We opted to carry out a qualitative research of a descriptiveexploratory nature based on case study and action-research. The investigation was carried out within the scope of the Master of Entrepreneurship and Business Creation Program in its Business Challenges course. The result obtained in the use of Design Thinking applied to academical innovation is a proposal for a new program for the Business Challenges curricular unit, where components of constructivist methodologies and active learning were introduced. In addition, it was verified that Design Thinking contributes to Academical Innovation because the approach has the ability to identify problems and, through creative thinking, develop solutions capable of promoting innovation. It is suggested as new lines of investigation the Development of a Design Thinking plan applied to academical innovation that encompasses all curricular units of the Master's Program in Entrepreneurship and Business Creation.
