Abstract(s)
A vertente de investigação (Capítulo I) consistiu no projeto intitulado “Corticosteróides
The following document contains two chapters, representatives of the two fundamental realities, to the end of the academic follow of the Masters in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Concerning the investigation (chapter I), it consisted on the project titled “Topical Corticosteroids: the evaluation of the knowledge in their use by the population”. This projects emerges from the inexistence of studies related to this thematic in Portugal. To make this search, it was used the observational studies, as well as analytics and transversal which was made through anonymous questionnaires to individuals. On this study, were included all people over the age of eighteen years old, from both genres, and all residents in Portugal without anything that they could not understand. From the analysis of the results, we conclude that the ones who use these drugs are women and people with more education. Moreover, it was noticed that the corticosteroids from medium/ low might, or low might are the ones with most common use and that, several times, used for a long period of time. As far as the knowledge of the inquiries on the use of the of the CT’s is concerned, it was noticed that men, with high degree of education and who take the CT, are the ones who have a prior knowledge in regards of this drugs. Finally, and regarding the results, it can be concluded that the knowledge from the Portuguese population about the use of the CT’s is still yet very low, being the duty of the health professionals to invert these results. The training post in Community Pharmacy (Chapter II) happened during the period of the 3r d of February to the 13th of June 2014, on “Farmácia Lopes Rodrigues”, in Válega, Ovar, under the observation of Dr. Maria de Fátima Ferreira. Herewith, you will find the description from all the areas which I have contacted, took knowledge and the competencies gained needed to be a Community Pharmaceutical. Concluding, this training was an excellent way to prepare myself to all the challenges in a hardworking, competitive and exigent labor market.
