| dc.description.abstract | O objectivo do presente estudo foi verificar se os alunos que actualmente frequentam o Ensino Superior demonstram diferenças significativas nos resultados de uma Prova de Resolução de Problemas por Insight segundo as variáveis observadas (e.g. género, idade, área de estudos, proveniência geográfica, ano curricular em que se encontra). Os participantes foram 77 estudantes do Ensino Superior, na sua maioria do género masculino (57,1%), com idades compreendidas entre os 22 e os 25 anos de idade (57,1%) e a frequentar o ensino politécnico (53,2%). O material utilizado consistiu num protocolo que incluía uma Prova de Resolução de Problemas por Insight e um Questionário Sócio-Demográfico construído para o efeito. Observámos diferenças estatisticamente significativas para a variável curso em Teste t-student (p< 0,027), sugerindo que os alunos de Ciências Exactas e da Vida possuíam maiores habilidades de resolução de problemas por insight e, através da análise ANOVA, encontrámos diferenças entre grupos (p<0,032), indicando que os alunos no quinto ano curricular apresentavam resultados significativamente superiores àqueles que se encontravam no terceiro ano curricular. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | The objective of the study was to inspect if students from Higher Education Institutions show significant differences in the results of an insight problem-solving test controlling for variables such as gender, age, course, geographical origin, attended academic year and others. The participants were 77 Higher Education students, mostly male (57,1%), aged between 22 and 25 years old (57,1%) and attending a Polythecnic Institution (53,2%). The material we used consisted in a protocol which included an Insight Problem-Solving Test as well as a sociodemographical questionnaire made for this purpose. Using an Independent Sample T Test, we have observed significant differences (p<0,027) as far as participants’ course is concerned, suggesting that those from Exact Sciences hold greater insight problem-solving skills. Through an ANOVA procedure, we obtained that students in their last academic year showed better results in insight problem-solving test (p<0,032) than the ones in their third academic year. | |
